The Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteers, both during the event and for many months in advance, planning, organising, dealing with the press, flyering etc., and does it's best to avoid the commercial feel of many other events. The festival income goes towards meeting the cost of stages, PA, lights, power and fuel, marquees, security, licences, etc etc, not to mention bands although many offer to play for free or for a reduced fee, either to establish themselves or simply because they love what we aim to do! We always allow bands to sell merchandise and keep all the money (not all festivals do that!).
Nevertheless, it’s always a struggle, so if you feel able to keep this event going by making a donation you can be assured that every penny goes towards the festival. Thank you so much for all your support!!.
