Cambridge Rock Festival relies on volunteers, both during the event and for many months in advance, planning, organising, promoting, flyering, etc., and does its best to avoid the commercial feel of many other events. The festival income goes towards meeting the costs of stages, PA, lights, power and fuel, marquees, toilets, security, licences, etc etc. Not to mention the bands: many offer to play for free or for a reduced fee, simply because they love what we aim to do!
2020 has seen the coronavirus pandemic cause the loss of our normal festival, after we have incurred costs preparing for it - money we won't get back - and, as we're honouring tickets for CRF21, it's also income we won't get next year. Nevertheless we've decided to put on a virtual CRF for everyone's benefit and that has incurred some costs too.
If you feel able to keep the CRF going by making a donation you can be assured that every penny goes towards the festival. It’s always a struggle! Thank you so much for all your support!
